The white marble recumbent figure is Jane Fortescue, the first wife of the Lord Chief Justice, who died in 1878. It is the work of Frederick Thrupp.

The walls of this transept were covered with panels of tile mosaics in memory of Sir John and Lady Mary Coleridge by their son, the First Baron Coleridge, Lord Chief Justice of England,
This is the handiwork of William Butterfield.
